Partnership donates 1,000 coats to Clothes to Kids Rhode Island

Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), in partnership with Anchor Subaru; Hyundai of Newport; Kia of Attleboro; Cerrone Chevrolet, Buick, GMC; and Synergy Media recently donated 1,000 new children’s winter coats to Clothes to Kids Rhode Island.

“We love helping our community and are happy to be a part of this wonderful donation,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “When Bill Gibb from Cerrone reached out to get Job Lot involved, we knew immediately that we wanted to help.”

Clothes to Kids Rhode Island is a non-profit created to help ease the financial burden on low-income families and build self-esteem in children. The organization provides new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis, school-age children in Providence County free of charge. Family members are welcome to make an appointment and will receive personal assistance from one of the volunteers.

“With the colder months right around the corner, it’s often hard to come by winter coat donations, especially for middle and high school students,” said Eva-Marie Mancuso, co-founder and executive director, Clothes to Kids. “We are so appreciative of the donation and grateful for those who continue to support our mission to clothe those who are struggling in Rhode Island.”
